Konica Minolta wins the Hong Kong Green Awards 2017 organized by Green Council for consecutive 6 years, and it was the third time to be awarded with Green Management Silver Award (Corporate). For growing sustainably along with our environment and the society, we have put much effort on “Green” aspects. In coming future, we would like to strive for corporate sustainability continuously.
The assessment criteria of Green Management Award are broad, including the green policy, energy conservation, water conservation, waste reduction, indoor air quality control, carbon footprint reduction, green purchasing, promotion and training. Putting environmental protection works into practice is a vital step, we have implemented 360∘ comprehensive sustainable development.
We have set a role model to put environmental consideration into various aspects. Besides, products are designed to be environmental-friendly in different areas such as machine body, toners, toner bottles and programs. It is believed that we can grow sustainably. In facing with the public, corporates should understand the responsibility of supporting environmental improvement. We hope to inspire our employees who can promote the concept of environmental protection to customers, suppliers, and even family members, thus further extend to all sectors of community.
With the aim of reducing carbon footprint, we have established a clear annual target (tCO2e per Full Time Employee) and carried various measures to reduce the carbon emission in daily operation. In addition, we will continue to promote environmental protection in community by organizing youth activities regularly, such as “Emerald Learning Program” in educating students about local wastes issue and organic farming. Starting from our employees, and we hope to extend the green mission to our community at the end.
