Konica Minolta won the Hong Kong Green Awards 2016 organized by Green Council for consecutive 5 years, and it was the second time to be awarded with Green Management Silver Award (Corporate). The award presentation ceremony was held on 9th December, 2016 (Friday) at The Mira Hotel. Mr. Leung Kin Hung, Manager of Service Planning Department, received the awards on behalf of the corporation.
The assessment criteria of Green Management Award are broad, including the green policy, energy conservation, water conservation, waste reduction, indoor air quality control, carbon footprint reduction, green purchasing, promotion and training. Konica Minolta is committed to the practice of diversification in environmental protection works, and to implement 360° comprehensive sustainable development.
Konica Minolta has set a role model to introduce All-rounded Green Office Solutions. Besides, products are designed to be environmental-friendly in different areas such as machine body, toners, toner bottles and programs. These execute our corporate philosophy of “Green at Heart”. In facing with the public, corporates should be responsible to support environmental improvement. Konica Minolta hopes to inspire our employees who can promote the concept of environmental protection to customers, suppliers, and even family members, thus further extend to all sectors of community.
In order to further promote low-carbon lifestyle, Konica Minolta has established clear target and achieved over 10% of Carbon Footprint Reduction (tCO2e per Full Time Employee) by the end of 2015 as compare with 2014. In addition, Konica Minolta will continue to promote environmental protection in community by organizing youth activities, such as “Emerald Learning Program” in teaching children about organic farming, food waste recycling.
